Lökí is DSD’s hybrid methodology that combines superior vulnerability assessment methods from the Defense Information Technology Security Certification and Accreditation Process (DITSCAP), comprehensive risk management methods outlined within the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) 800 series and International Standards Organization (ANSI/ISO) 17799 methodologies, utilization of advanced analysis techniques incorporated within the National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) and incorporates the four core information protection strategies of the Information Assurance Technical Framework (IATF) and the National Security Agency's Information Assurance Methodology (IAM).
