Founded in 1981 by Principal and Creative Director, Ron Harwood, Illuminating Concepts has utilized these 23-years of experience to continuously evolve into one of the world’s most creative and respected resources for lighting design and multi-media entertainment. Although IC’s core business remains in the high volume provision of award winning lighting design and implementation for architectural and retail applications, the past 12 years has seen the progressive development of a unique “Entertainment Strategy” division that incorporates the design multiple elements and control solutions for large or small scale environments world wide.
IC is widely regarded as pioneers in the field of visitor entertainment through its diverse compilation of design capabilities and experience; consistently collaborating with leading architectural design firms to produce memorable spaces that draw upon a variety of features such as, light (static & intelligent), water, dynamic audio systems, video projection and all forms of special effects. While each of these stand-alone elements are in themselves entertaining, IC’s forte is the controlled fusion and multi-tasking of each feature; effectively producing immersion experiences of a quality unseen before outside of the theme park industry; through creative programming and MediamorFX™ (IC’s branded digital, multi feature control solution).
