Joanies, the cosmeticeutical division of Fire Island School, was envisioned to serve high end resorts, casino-hotels, spas, bed & breakfasts, and upscale salons worldwide with our in-house line of Mahalo™ and Makamae™ full and amenity sized shampoo, body wash and body scrub. The type of clients we typically work with vary from the boutique hotels of the Kimpton Group, The Westin Maui, The Grand Del Mar, The Bulgari Resorts in Bali and Milan to the world's only 7 star resort, The Burj Al Arab, in Dubai UAE. The types of salon/day spa clients we work with are along the lines of Gene Juarez Salons & Spas, Steve Hightower Hair Artists or Prive - SoHo Grand Hotel. On June 1st 2006, the Joanies business model evolved into partnering with carefully chosen vendor partners with products that would also be of interest to our client base and could be offered by our sales teams.
