ShowLED

The company Amelia NV was founded in 1999 as a result of an increasing international demand for easy to use and ready made starcloths. The starcloths that where used back in those days were heavy fibre optic curtains, pea bulb curtains or perforated Molton curtains with a light source behind them to create a star effect look.

Our first product was the ShowLED Classic curtain. This system provided a solid solution countering the demand of professional and flexible ready made starcloths. In the years that followed the success of the Classic LED backdrops increased gradually. ShowLED sold Classic starcloths all over the world and we developed a worldwide distributor network.

A lot of customers kept on asking us for the possibility of integrating RGB LEDs in our backdrops. From this question the Chameleon system originated in 2005. This color changing system really opened new markets for ShowLED. Designers really saw possibilities in this color changing backdrop that offers an extra dimension to a set design.

Then, as technology developed we invented the Animation system. The RGB LEDs can now be controlled individually. This product has broadened the spectrum of ShowLED customers. Where traditionally most of the customers were theatres, rental/production companies and TV studio’s we see now that night clubs, big event organizers, festivals and others also are convinced to work with our company.

In march 2008 ShowLED moved to new premises. Increasing demand for bigger curtains, larger orders and new production methods made that the building we resided in became too small. Now we have a bigger workshop, confection area and new offices. We also changed our logo, website and house style so our brand image reflects what ShowLED stands for; young, creative and innovating.

ShowLED is a product of Amelia nv, a Belgium-based company specialised in the design and development of electronic solutions for the event and entertainment business. Amelia develops special LED star effects to install in smooth-surfaced fabrics, soft goods, walls, ceilings, hard props and set pieces. The LEDs are primarily used to create a "ShowLED" starcloth. Our aim is to provide state-of-the-art, easy-to-use and cost-effective services for lighting designers, theatre and television producers, event agencies and all who are important to get the show going. We take pride in customer satisfaction. Our products are of great quality and our after sales department is always willing to help customers with technical questions or specific demands. As we work in the entertainment business we know that it’s important to create that one magic moment and we work actively together with the customer to achieve a result that stands out from the rest.
