In 2004, Mark Ballard and Tom Finney made a life-changing decision to go forward with the development of Sugardaddy's Sumptuous Sweeties ®, which would become an online store, sugardaddys.com®. In 2005, they made the commitment to go live in time for the winter holiday season with full-scale selling of the Sumptuous Sweeties, also known at that time as the couture brownie®. Sugardaddy's launched in time to celebrate Sweetest Day on October 15, 2005. Chocolatier Magazine’s February/March 2006 issue touted our new-to-market company and product collection as, “A name that will make you smile and a taste that will give you something to remember.” In February/March 2006, StyleBakery.com featured us as a “must-have editor’s pick” stating, “We were impressed before even taking a bite—which is saying a lot considering how to-die-for delicious the flavors are.” Midwest Living’s coming-soon June 2006 issue hails our company and collection as, “Midwest ingenuity at its most delightful.” No wonder Everybody wants one®.
