Tap Systems

In the late 1990’s by a small group of young engineers established a company under the name of Lindberg & Jensen. The company sold and serviced all kinds of existing alcoholic beverage dispensing and measuring equipment of both European and American origin. The products on the market by that time, were to be divided into two major groups: Gravity-fed, wall mounted dispensing systems and ring or donut systems. Both types of systems had positive and negative aspects. The wall mounted dispensing systems were fast and tidy but offered no reconciliation for owners and could not prevent theft. The ring or donut systems offered reconciliation and reporting but were slow and untidy. Both types of systems required excessive maintenance and repairs and did not function well in the harsh bar environment. In close cooperation with a group of hospitality professionals, the engineers decided to develop a system that would combine all positive aspects and eliminate the drawbacks of the wall mounted dispensing system and the ring or donut system. The award winning industrial design studio “L2 design” in Denmark helped design the aesthetics of the system. The look of the system had to be universal. Whether installed in an Irish Pub in Dublin, or a Modern Lounge in New York. The harsh bar environment required a sturdy product. Metal was chosen over plastics for durability. Many installations now four years old have not required any maintenance, only software updates. In the summer/autumn of 2005, under new ownership, the corporate name changed into TAP Systems. . . TAP as in “Touch And Pour.” You now have another product and service to offer to your customers; a way to present their liquor assortment; increase sales, and to keep total track of all beverage dispensing.
