TS1990A iButton Memory
In a sense, all iButtons are memory buttons because there are no iButtons without memory. Therefore, the concept of a mobile memory chip that communicates by touch remains fundamental to all iButtons. As the iButton family has grown, however, memory only iButtons are now distinguished from iButtons with extended capabilities such as a microprocessor, clock, and/or environmental sensors. Memory iButtons come in these different types to allow you to pick the right device for your specific application.
All memory iButtons have these characteristics:
Unique and unalterable factory-lasered address;
Low-cost, low-power 1-Wire? interface;
Ability to operate as mobile database, in either standalone or networked application designs.
Memory iButtons can be divided into the following different categories:
The Address Only iButton is our TS1990A and is our basis model. It contains 64bits of Read Only Memory (ROM) and is used in many different applications such as:
Access Control as a Key;
Route Compliance as a Location Identifier;
Inspection and Maintenance for Equipment Identification;
TS1990A is compatibale with DS1990A-F3/F5 completely.Because TS1990A also use DS2401 chip that DS1990A uses.

The EM4100 (previously named H4100) is a CMOS integrated circuit for use in electronic Read Only RF Transponders. The circuit is powered by an external coil placed in an electromagnetic field, and gets its master clock from the same field via one of the coil terminals. By turning on and off the modulation current, the chip will send back the 64 bits of information contained in a factor y pre-programmed memory array. The programming of the chip is performed by laser fusing of polysilicon links in order to store a unique code on each chip. The EM4100 has several metal options which are used to define the code type and data rate. Data rates of 64, 32 and 16 periods of carrier frequency per data bit are available. Data can be coded as Manchester, Biphase or PSK. Due to low power consumption of the logic core, no supply buffer capacitor is required. Only an external coil is needed to obtain the chip function. A parallel resonance capacitor of 74 pF is also integrated.
TK4100 is compatible. EM4169/T5567/T5557 or custom chip is available.
