Facility Design and Construction > Construction > Materials > Insulated Glass(DGU)
Insulating glass is a multi-glass combination consisting of two or more panes enclosing a hermetically-sealed air space. The most important function of insulating glass is to reduce thermal losses, which offers many advantages:lower energy consumption, perfect transparency by reducing the incidence of condensation on the warm air side and the possibility of using larger glazed areas without increasing energy consumption. The glass composition can be clear, on/off-line coated, enameled and Low-E glass, etc.
Facility Design and Construction > Construction > Materials > SilkScreen Glass
Silkscreened glass is tempered or heat-strengthened glass, one face of which is covered, either partially or totally, with mineral pigments which is stable and non-biodegradable and can be made in one or more colours and in different figures (tips, letters, pads).In addition to its decorative function, silkscreened glass is also a solar ray controller.
Silkscreened glass is used for glazing and for cladding
in facades and roofs. It can be assembled into laminated glass or glazed insulation
Facility Design and Construction > Construction > Materials > Laminated Glass
Laminated glass is combination of two or more glass sheets with one or more interlayers of plastic(PVB)or resin.In case of breakage,the interlayer holds the fragments together and continues to provide res-istance to the passage of persons or objects.This glass is particularly suitable where it is important to ensure the resistance of the whole sheet after brea-kage such as:
* Sloped/Overhead Glazing
* Museums,Prisons,Government Buildings
* Jewelry Stores,Banks,Airports
* Safety Glazing Applications
* Schools,Hospitals,Hotels
* Interior Partitions,Office Buildings
Facility Design and Construction > Construction > Materials > Curved tempered glass
Curved tempered glass is curved,during the heat-treating process,to a specified radius to create unique profiles for installations commercial and residential applications.
* Handrails and Spiral Staircases
* Shower Enclosures
* Partitions and Elevator Enclosures
* Commercial/Residential Windows
* Curtain Walls and Storefronts
Facility Design and Construction > Construction > Materials > Heat-Strengthened Glass
Heat-strengthened glass is approximately twice as strong as annealed glass of similar thickness and configuration. Heat-strengthened glass generally fractures in a manner similar to annealed glass and tends to remain in the opening when broken. It is in-tended for general glazing where additional strength and/or resistance to mechanical and/or thermal stress are desired. Heat-strengthened glass is NOT a safety glazing product and therefore should not be used where safety glazing is required.
Facility Design and Construction > Construction > Materials > Tempered Glass
Tempered (toughened) glass is four or more times stronger than annealed glass. When broken, it shatters into many small fragments which prevent major injuries. This type of glass is intended for glass facades, sliding doors, building entrances, furniture, garden buildings, bath and shower enclosures and other uses requiring superior strength and safety properties.
