GPI to exhibit in South America

27 September 2007

LAS VEGAS, Nevada -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Gaming Partners International Corporation (Nasdaq: GPIC) ("GPI"), a leading provider of casino currency and table game equipment worldwide, announced that it will exhibit at the South American Gaming Suppliers' Expo ("SAGSE") to be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on October 3-5.

GPI sales to casino operators in South America have seen consistent growth since the first delivery of plaques in 1979 to Casino de Vina del Mar in Chile. Since that time, GPI has sold its products to every country in South America in which the gaming industry is regulated.

Gerard Charlier, President and CEO of Gaming Partners International said, "In South America, we see two distinct markets with different requirements. The southern countries such as Uruguay, Argentina and Chile have a long tradition of European-style casinos, making Bourgogne & Grasset(R) plaques and jetons the preferred casino currency for many years. With almost 100 casinos, Argentina is the most mature and dynamic market, so it came as no surprise when we delivered our first order of 125 KHz RFID chips in South America in June of this year to Casino Melincue."

Charlier added, "We have also seen some recent purchases of American chips in both our Bud Jones (R) and B&G brands in the Northern / Andean markets. Our wide range of American chips has allowed us to fit any budget, from a small 5 table operation in Pereira, Colombia, to the largest operators with as many as 120 tables in Argentina. There is still a technology gap between local and international standards in gaming equipment, but this gap is closing and more operators are investing in high quality table game equipment including chip sorters and card shufflers. We hope to see RFID chips and readers become the standard, and GPI will be there to supply them directly.

"SAGSE 2007 will again be a major event for GPI," added Christophe Leparoux, Manager of International Sales and Marketing. "Our Area Sales Manager for Latin America, Nicolas Dienot, will be demonstrating an innovative collection of plaques, our full range of B&G, Bud Jones and Paulson(R) chips as well as the latest RFID technology developments with an automated blackjack table featuring RFID chip tray and Table Top Authenticator."
