Jockey Club sees increased turnover

LONDON, England -- The Jockey Club saw its revenue increase 8 percent during 2010, the BBC reported.

This year the Jockey Club will provide £15.7m in prize money, the report said.

British racing has been challenged by Bookies moving offshore and not paying the racing levy, but attendance at the races increased compared to last year, the BBC report noted.
