North American Video Opens Office In Macau

20 December 2006

BRICK, New Jersey -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- North American Video, a leading security systems integrator, and a premier provider to the gaming industry has opened a new branch office in Macau to better serve their growing base of clients in the Asia-Pacific rim including the recently opened Wynn Macau. The new office will be headed by Sam Smith, who recently joined North American Video following several years in the gaming industry.

"One of the key reasons why North American Video has been successful in cultivating long-term relationships with our clients is because of our service and support after the sale and initial system implementation," said Cynthia Freschi, President of North American Video. "We need to be close to our key clients to provide responsive and efficient services and decided that a branch office in Macau was necessary to support existing clients in the area and help us cultivate new business opportunities. Sam Smith's wealth of experience in the gaming industry and with the recent system installation at Wynn Macau makes him ideally suited to oversee our new branch office in Macau."

North American Video's momentum in the gaming sector has been growing as a number of high profile casinos have selected them to provide physical security systems. For the Wynn Macau, North American Video integrated security systems, video surveillance systems and POS (point of sale) systems, using products supplied by Lenel, Honeywell and Winstead as well as North American Video brand components.

According to Ms. Freschi, the video surveillance and security system at Wynn Macau is even larger than that installed by North American Video at the Wynn Las Vegas. "With a project of this magnitude, the bar is set very high," she said. "It will be Sam's job to maintain that high level of service during implementation of phase two of construction and we know he is up to the task."

The first phase of the Wynn Macau security system covers a casino hall spanning 100,000 square feet, 200 table games and 380 slot machines, plus a shopping esplanade where the security system is tied into high end stores, six restaurants and the resort's spa. It uses over 2,000 surveillance cameras and is a fully digital system that includes integration with the resort's POS systems in food, beverage and retail areas, as well as cashiers in cage and coin exchange areas in the gaming area. The system is also designed to provide security for an original Henri Matisse painting and an original Pierre-Auguste Renoir work, which hang in the reception areas. The second phase of expansion of the Wynn Macau is presently underway and includes the extension of all surveillance and security systems by North American Video.
