Progressive Gaming Defends Claim Filed by Paltronics

LAS VEGAS, Nevada – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Progressive Gaming International Corporation (NASDAQ: PGIC ), a leading provider of diversified content and technology products and services used in the gaming industry worldwide announced today that it will defend the lawsuit filed by Paltronics, Inc. ("Paltronics") alleging patent infringement.

Executive Vice President and General Counsel Rob Ziems stated: "We believe this claim cannot be supported by the facts. We are very confident in the strength of our intellectual property portfolio and the extensive diligence that is performed prior to the development of our gaming systems. As such, we believe we are well-positioned to defend against these claims."

Russ McMeekin, President and CEO of PGIC stated, "We believe this is a veiled attempt by one of competitors to capture market share from us through the court system rather than through the marketplace."
