Zorro Fan Wins First Jackpot

LAS VEGAS – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Ardent Zorro fan and Las Vegas resident David Ventura became the first player to win the $50,000 top award on Aristocrat's new Zorro-themed local-area progressive games. He won late Tuesday night at Santa Fe Station Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

"I'm a great Zorro fan and was there for the grand opening when the new Zorro movie opened up," Ventura said. "I knew I had to try the new Zorro machines."

The 53-year respiratory therapist said he had invested about $50 when he hit the Grand Jackpot, which is a static $50,000 award that can be won on any Zorro game.

"I said 'yes, it's about time'," Ventura said, adding that he and his wife Nancy will use the winnings for an upcoming cruise and trip to Mexico.
