AP Group was founded in Guernsey in 1990 and has grown to become the Channel Islands’ largest recruitment agency, providing candidates with the opportunity to gain employment in the offshore Islands. The Company established itself as the market leader in Guernsey by fulfilling recruitment needs by offering a fresh and innovative service to the Island’s finance and commercial industries. In 1998, AP Group opened a branch in St Helier, Jersey, which enabled us to swiftly establish ourselves as the premier recruitment agency for the Channel Islands – this has been largely due to our innovative approach. In 2003, AP Group expanded further afield and opened an office in Limassol, Cyprus and in 2004 also opened an office in the capital of Nicosia. In 2004 an office was opened in London and then in 2007 an office was opened in Geneva.

Full employment and a shortage of qualified people in the Channel Islands mean that effective solutions need to be found; Approved Personnel constantly strives to proactively tackle the constraints placed on employers and employees. AP Group is now looking at providing its services in other offshore jurisdictions and boasts an office in the British Virgin Islands under the name of AP Executive Ltd.

Cyprus has a stable economy with full employment conditions and is now classified among the high-income countries. With its numerous tax incentives and imminent EU membership (hopes to become a full member in 2004), the number of businesses based in the Island is growing rapidly, increasing the need for active recruitment.
