Products and Services
IT and Telecommunications > Telecommunications > Fiber Optics Products > Pure Digital Fiberlink® Flex System
The Pure Digital Fiberlink® Flex System is an all new, all digital, custom-configurable fiber optic link designed to support video, audio, data and contact closure signals. Aptly named, the unique Flex System supports a wide range of signal combinations that may be transmitted in one or both directions. Systems can be custom-ordered and configured to meet the user's application needs. Best of all, the system is cost-competitive with AM and FM-based systems. The system has the capability to transmit any or all of the following: · One channel of video in one or two directions · Four independent audio channels - four channels in one direction or two in each direction · Two channels of bi-directional data, two channels contact closure or one channel of each With all digital processing and transmission, the system provides exceptional signal quality with no crosstalk or drifting, and a uniform, high-quality signal over the entire transmission distance. Available in one and two fiber versions for use with either single mode or multimode fiber, the system operates at wavelengths of 850, 1310 or 1550 nanometers. "The Pure Digital Fiberlink Flex System picks up where the revolutionary Pure Digital One Fiber left off," explains John Lopinto, President and CEO. "When Pure Digital One Fiber was introduced nearly two years ago, it offered customers something they had never had before - an all-digital, custom-configurable point-to-point fiber optic transmission system. With the Flex System, we've improved on our original design by offering even more great features such as additional transmission options and one or two fiber versions." The video channel of the Pure Digital Fiberlink Flex System features 8 MHz bandwidth and is compatible with NTSC, PAL and SECAM video standards. The four independent audio channels may be configured by the user to have either balanced or unbalanced inputs and outputs. The bi-directional data channels support RS-232/422/485 (2-wire or 4-wire) protocols or may be used to transmit contact closure signals instead. The Flex System is available in card and box versions. Card units each fill two slots within the model 6000A Card Cage. Systems require either a transmitter and receiver unit or two transceivers for bi-directional systems. Transmitter, receiver, transceiver and power supplies must each be purchased separately. For ordering convenience, interactive Part Number Configuration software for the Flex System can be found on the company's website: www.commspecial.com/flex/flex_menu.html. Facility Design and Construction > Security > Monitoring > Pure Digital Fiberlink® 10-Channel Video Multiplexer/PTZ
Transmits up to 10 channels of baseband analog video and optional 2-way (PTZ) data (RS-232, RS-422, RS-485) over one or two fibers and has the lowest cost per channel of any video multiplexer on the market. The Pure Digital Fiberlink 10-Channel Video Multiplexer/PTZ employs all digital processing and transmission techniques, resulting in a uniform signal over the entire transmission distance with no distortion, crosstalk or interference. With all the advantages of a digital system, at analog prices, the Pure Digital Fiberlink 10-Channel Video Multiplexer/PTZ is well suited for Security and Intelligent Transportation Systems applications. Designed to work with standard single mode or multimode fiber optic cable, it supports systems with up to a 17 dB loss budget distances and transmits full bandwidth, full motion and uncompressed video. Both transmitter and receiver are equipped with internal power supplies and built-in diagnostic LEDs for each channel to continuously monitor a loss of signal/broken fiber alarm. Only one rack unit high, the Pure Digital Fiberlink 10-Channel Video Multiplexer/PTZ can be used as a free standing unit or rackmounted.
Audio/Visual, Electrical and Signage > Audio/Video > Video Scalers > Deuce HD
Intelligent Video Scaler offers “HD” (High Definition) quality images from any NTSC or PAL source. Designed specifically for applications that use projectors and display equipment featuring the new HD output resolutions, Deuce HD enables users to enjoy HDTV-quality images from any standard NTSC or PAL source material. Deuce HD’s offering of five scaled outputs, including 480p, 720p, 1080p, 1280x1024 and 1366x768, meets a wide range of HDTV and DTV standards used by today’s most popular high definition display equipment. Deuce HD offers the most sophisticated level of “intelligent” motion compensation processing. Making use of three different algorithms (adaptive frame using inverse 3:2 pulldown, vertical temporal or static mesh), Deuce HD automatically selects the most effective motion compensation method or combination of methods, based upon the source material being scaled. The unit is able to support aspect ratios of both 4:3 (standard) and 16:9 (letterbox), as well as provide conversion from one format to another. Even projectors and displays with built-in scaling can benefit form the additional level of image processing that Deuce HD can provide. Deuce HD features Composite, S-Video and Y-CB-CR component inputs and RGB or Y-CB-CR component outputs, plus an RS-232 remote control. The slim, black unit has a simple, intuitive user-interface and internal, universal power supply.
Facility Design and Construction > Security > Monitoring > Pure Digital Fiberlink® Video/PTZ
system for 1-way video and bi-directional data uses all-digital technology to process and transmit one-way video and two-way data (for pan/tilt/zoom control) over a single fiber. Pure Digital Fiberlink Video/PTZ offers the performance and flexibility of digital technology in an affordable system that will revolutionize the way video and control signals are processed and transmitted within the Security and Intelligent Transportation Systems markets. The Pure Digital Fiberlink Video/PTZ’s video channel is compatible with NTSC, PAL or SECAM standards. Available in both single mode and multimode, the system has an operating wavelength of 850, 1310 or 1550 nm and supports a bandwidth of 8 MHz for video and 100 Kb/sec for data. The bi-directional data channel is fully compatible with EIA standard RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 as configured by the user independently on each end. Systems consist of two units (transmitter and receiver), each equipped with indicator LEDs to continuously indicate the presence of power and the optical signal. A wide range power supply allows operation from low voltage AC and DC sources.
Audio/Visual, Electrical and Signage > Audio/Video > Video Scalers > Deuce MC
Intelligent Video Scaler converts standard TV video to high-resolution, non-interlaced video, but unlike other video scalers, it offers a unique user-selectable Motion Compensation feature that can be set based on the specific input source image. The motion compensation feature enables users to select one of three different motion compensation techniques: adaptive frame using inverse 3:2 pulldown, vertical temporal or static mesh. Users can also select one of three automatic modes that automatically analyzes the video input and selects the best algorithm. Because each technique is set specifically for the type of input image, the result is the clearest, crispest picture quality possible, making Deuce MC the natural choice for Home Theater and Professional A/V applications. This versatile video scaler has three scaled output resolutions (852x480, 800x600 and 1024x768) and standard line doubling and quadrupling outputs. Additional features include Composite, S-Video and Y-CB-CR component inputs and RGB or Y-CB-CR component outputs, plus an RS-232 remote. An internal power supply and simple, intuitive user-interface round out this sleek, compact unit.

Scan Do Pro II offers higher-resolution support (up to 1280 x 1024 @ 60 Hz) and superior video processing combined with the professional broadcast-related features and interface found on the original Scan Do Pro model. Designed specifically for top video and broadcast professionals, Scan Do Pro II features studio timeable genlock, component output (YUV and RGB formats), a switchable vertical filter and optional SMPTE 259-M serial digital output (SDI). True multi-scanning with support for resolutions up to 1280 x 1024 (at 60 Hz) ensures it will work with virtually any computer. A three-line flicker reduction filter produces sharp, stable images and multi-level input zoom processing actually enhances resolution. Like all Scan Do models, Scan Do Pro II’s front-panel controls and interface are designed for user-friendliness, but the new Scan Do Pro II also offers an internal, universal power supply and standard RS-232 remote, bringing convenience and ease-of-use to a new level. With the introduction of Scan Do Pro II, CSI continues to set the standard within the category of scan conversion by offering a broadcast-quality scan converter with an unprecedented combination of performance and features for the price.
