Our Hybrid Lightning Surge Arrestors™ automatically respond to electrical surge conditions that, if ignored, could adversely affect the safety of the public.
Our Hybrid Lightning Surge Arrestors™ turn on to divert lightning and other surges away from surge-sensitive equipment when there is excessive voltage and turn off when normal voltage is restored WITHOUT interrupting normal equipment operation.
Our Hybrid Lightning Surge Arrestors™ will operate 100s or 1000s of times in a five year period; not just once. Therefore, after five (5) years of operation, Hybrid Lightning Surge Arrestor™ replacement is highly recommended to insure continued equipment protection. Hybrid Lightning Surge Arrestors™ are sold with one year warranty.
The automated response voltage and strength of each Hybrid Lightning Surge Arrestor™ is set during the manufacturing process and cannot be changed in the field.
Of course, fusing of each phase per National Electric Code Section 430-72 may be required.
