It is very important to protect casino equipment from "back door" surges traveling through data lines, since they are as damaging as surges traveling over power lines. Most other surge suppressors continue to let power through even after their circuits have been damaged, leaving equipment exposed to future surges. Cylix has a fail safe mode for casino equipment, so that once a circuit has been compromised, the surge suppressors disconnect the equipment from the power supply ensuring no damaging surges reach your equipment.
