2013 WSOP winner Ryan Riess sets sights on PCA $100K Super High Roller

ONCHAN, Isle of Man -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Recently crowned World Series of Poker 2013 Main Event Champion Ryan Riess will be heading to the Bahamas in January to participate in the $100,000 Super High Roller tournament at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA), PokerStars.eu has revealed.

Riess, a 23-year-old poker pro from Michigan, USA, battled through a field of 6,352 players this summer to reach the final nine, and returned on November 6 to take the title and the $8.4 million first prize. This will be the first tournament that he will participate in since his landmark win in Las Vegas.

The $100,000 buy-in three-day-long festival opener will take place at Atlantis on Paradise Island in the Bahamas from January 5, 2014. Riess will join a host of other players such as Daniel Negreanu, Dan Shak, Matt Glantz and Steve O’Dwyer, who have already confirmed their seats. He said: “I am extremely excited for my first PCA. I have always been most successful in big games. In the past I have tended to downplay smaller games so I am really excited to play my first $100k. I have a really good feeling about the PCA next month and I am already counting down the days!”

Team PokerStars pro Eugene Katchalov, who won the Super High Roller in 2011, said: “It will be great to have Ryan at the table after his big win at the WSOP.
