Barrière Poker and PMU Poker combine forces for WSOP Circuit event

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Barrière Poker and PMU Poker are joining forces for the Cannes edition of the prestigious World Series of Poker Circuit. Poker players from around the world will be heading to Cannes this April to take part in this extraordinary festival that brings the poker world together. This exciting competitive event will see the best poker players come up against each other to the sublime backdrop of the French Riviera.

For 12 days from 12-23 April, the Casino Barrière Cannes Le Croisette will be the epicenter of dramatic competition, when players will have the chance to win the 12 WSOP Circuit rings, one of which is online with PMU Poker.

“We are very proud that the WSOP has decided to extend its long-term partnership with the Casino Barrière Cannes Le Croisette, which first started in 2011. This is an eagerly awaited event for players and is a leading competition in France and Europe,” WSOP Vice-President Grégory Chochon explains.

“The Barrière group is delighted to welcome the WSOP Circuit to the Casino Le Croisette Cannes, an event which marks our long collaboration with the WSOP. Our aim is to continue to offer players an exceptional experience in partnership with PMU Poker,” adds Clément Martin Saint-Léon, the Barrière Group’s Executive VP for Gaming.

Online qualification will be run by PMU Poker from 12 February onwards. The prize: a buy-in to the WSOP-C event and the chance to compete on the French Riviera.

The Casino Le Croisette will be going “All-In” to offer players and spectators a true festival of poker and everything will be in place to ensure that participants can enjoy the full experience of this event – to the world-renowned backdrop of the resort of Cannes.

The Barrière Resort offers a unique setting for players: accommodation at the legendary Hotels Barrière Le Majestic and Le Gray d’Albion Cannes, a chance to relax at the spas, bars and private beaches of this hotel complex, as well as a whole host of leisure options at the Casino Le Croisette.

For the first time at the casino, two spaces will be completely dedicated to the competition (a total space of 1,200m2) and more than 45 tables will be in place specifically for the event. Special hospitality and leisure services will also be available:

- Fast, high-quality catering services for players plus the culinary expertise of Barrière’s pastry chefs to add a gourmet touch in keeping with the event
- A revamped range of gaming tables and slot machines to enable those involved in the event to discover and take full advantage of the casino world by Barrière.
