Boyd Gaming closes acquisition of Dania Jai Alai

LAS VEGAS, Nevada – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Boyd Gaming Corporation (NYSE: BYD) today reported that its previously announced acquisition of Dania Jai Alai and approximately 47 acres of related land located in Dania Beach, Florida has closed. Dania Jai Alai is one of four pari-mutuel facilities approved under Florida law to operate 1,500 Class III slot machines.

The Company plans to begin construction at the property later this year with a grand opening of casino operations around the end of 2008.
