Card Player and PaddyPowerPoker.com team up for Irish Open

DUBLIN, Ireland -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Card Player Media is proud to announce its official media partnership with PaddyPowerPoker.com for the Irish Open 2009.

The partnership, now in its third year, will see CardPlayer.com and CardPlayerEurope.com distribute the official Paddy Power Poker Irish Open 2009 live reporting feed of the event to poker fans across Europe and the U.S.

Card Player Poker + Sports will also be the only magazine at the event, given away free to players and spectators, and will provide extensive coverage of the tournament in the July 2009 issue (out mid-June).

PaddyPowerPoker.com has announced the full schedule for the upcoming Irish Open at Citywest Hotel in Dublin, Ireland. As well as the €3,200 + €300 Irish Open main event, the festival, from April 9 to 13, 2009, features a two-day €1,500 + €150 no-limit hold'em freezeout event and the ever-popular pot-limit Omaha €300 + €30 rebuy tournament.

The ladies no-limit hold'em freezeout makes a return having sold out before the cards were in the air last year and a new charity event has been added ? cost €300 + €30 no-limit hold'em event benefit Our Lady's Children's Hospital, Dublin ? with €100 from each player's buy-in and the entire €30 from each registration fee going to the charity. It is hoped the event will raise over €50,000 for the hospital.
