Casino Schedule Ease introduces new Face Station technology

Nobody can accuse Kelly Grillo Sr. of not being proactive.

Like most land-based gaming vendors, the CEO of Casino Schedule Ease was hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent shutdown of casino floors all over the world. Since 1994, the Florida-based company has been providing automated scheduling systems that generate its schedule from a graphical representation of the casino floor, or as they call it a "road-map.”

With all of his casino customers closing their doors for over two months, Grillo Sr. made the difficult decision to not only not invoice his partners during April, May and June, but he devised a new product that would be safe and secure to use when the properties began to reopen.

“In its simplest form, facial recognition basically takes data points, just like biometric,” he explained. “With biometric, it’s not taking a photo of your fingerprint, it’s taking data points, which get stored binarily. The same thing happens with facial recognition.”

Grillo Sr. said that so far his company has received great feedback about the product and free upgrade they are offering.

“Our clients love it because it shows they care about their employees and their employees feel safer and secure as they come back to work,” he said. “With all that’s gone on the last few months, that’s really, really important.”
