Downtown Cares hosts eighth annual event

(PRESS RELEASE) -- WHAT: Downtown Cares, a day of volunteerism founded in 2012 by Moonridge Group and El Cortez Hotel & Casino, will host its eighth community event on Saturday, 2 June 2018 at Veterans Village. More than 140 volunteers will have the opportunity to engage with United Sates Veterans as they help assemble more than 2,000 donated care package kits, beautify the grounds, refurbish the property, organize, personalize cards and much more.

Downtown Cares is a grassroots effort to uplift downtown Las Vegas by organizing area residents, businesses and community leaders for neighborhood service days. The event is sponsored by Moonridge Group, El Cortez Hotel & Casino, Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, Zappos, Downtown Project, Sting Alarm, Fine Entertainment, Northcap, Clientivity, The Publicity Lab, Nicholas and Company, Digital Lizard, US Foods, Tahoe Supply Company and BT Supplies West.
