Foxwoods hosts WPT Ladies' Tour

MASHANTUCKET, Connecticut -- (PRESS RELEASE) -– Foxwoods Resort Casino is pleased to announce that on March 29 the WPT Ladies' Tour will make its inaugural pit stop at Connecticut's only World Poker Tour Room. With a buy-in fee set at $530 and an entry fee at $70, female poker players will have the chance to win a WPT title and seat in the WPT Ladies' Championship in Las Vegas.

With the increased number of female poker players, the World Poker Tour has expanded its female tour and launched the official No Limit Texas Hold'Em Tournament Circuit – WPT Ladies (WPTL). This ladies poker tournament provides opportunities for amateur, semi-pro and professional players to test their skills at prestigious gaming destinations around the country.

The first season of the WPT Ladies Tour kicked off January 20 in Atlantic City with 383 female attendees. The first place winner received over $33,000. From there, the tour headed to Los Angeles on February 2 and 3, and then plans to visit San Jose before making its final stop at Foxwoods Resort Casino for the final championship table on March 29. The WPT Ladies Tour will conclude April 13-14 in Las Vegas, NV with the final table held on April 25. The Tour Champion will receive the first place cash prize and the WPT Ladies' Championship title.
