Fremont Street Experience's $32 million renovation of Viva Vision

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Fremont Street Experience will begin its $32 million renovation of Viva Vision, the world’s largest single video screen, located in historic downtown Las Vegas, February 2019. Spanning five city blocks above one of the most vibrant streets in Las Vegas, the upgraded Viva Vision canopy will illuminate the pedestrian mall with 16,433,152 pixels and 5,000 Nits, making it seven times brighter than the existing canopy with four times the resolution. In partnership with the City of Las Vegas and the Las Vegas Conventions and Visitors Authority, renovations to the iconic, city-owned Viva Vision canopy will be completed for the unveiling on 31 December 2019.

Boasting 12.5 million lights alongside a state-of-the-art, 550,000-watt, concert-quality sound system, visitors will soon enjoy dazzling, high-resolution light and sound shows 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A collaboration between Fremont Street Experience, Tré Builders and Watchfire Signs, an Illinois-based LED manufacturer, the revitalized Viva Vision canopy will feature new digital content as well as interactive elements such as The Key, an app that will enable visitors to write personalized messages on Viva Vision and vote for the next song or video.
