GameCo hires three industry veterans

14 April 2021

(PRESS RELEASE) -- GameCo LLC, the pioneer producer of next-generation games designed to attract and monetize new and differentiated customers at retail and digital casinos, today announced it is making three key appointments to bolster its business lines: Barry Iremonger as Lead Games Designer, Michael Low as Vice President of Technology, and Gabriel Moraga as Compliance Director. These new hires will be instrumental in growing GameCo’s business and helping to further expand upon and strengthen the Company's core mission to create special gaming experiences for players both at land-based casinos and online. Iremonger, Moraga, and Low will all report directly to Art Hamilton, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer.

Barry Iremonger joins GameCo as a 15-year veteran of the game development and design industry; he also has extensive film and television production experience. In his role as Lead Games Designer, he will be responsible for the creative and math design for game titles at GameCo. Barry brings the art of storytelling to GameCo’s land-based and digital games with his extensive studio experience including roles at Sony Pictures, Walt Disney Animation, and 20th Century Fox. Barry has also worked at IGT, SG/Bally Technologies, Microgaming, and Novomatic Gaming.

Michael Low brings substantial management experience to GameCo, from startups to larger established organizations. As Vice President of Technology, he will be leading GameCo’s Retail and Technology team in developing the Company’s game library. With over 25 years managing teams, and 40+ years as a software programmer, he has extensive knowledge of the games industry and a history of helping critical projects get off the ground. Michael’s previous roles have been at Synergy Blue, Microsoft, Sierra Online, and Aristocrat, among others.

Gabe Moraga has 16 years of experience in the compliance and legal fields, and most recently was the Director of Compliance for Gamblit Gaming in California. There, he facilitated gaming license renewals and developed due diligence reports on new suppliers, customers, and licensable employees, among other responsibilities. He previously worked at Ainsworth Game Technology, as well as ER Law and Ralph A. Schwartz, P.C. At GameCo, he will oversee game product and licensing compliance activities in collaboration with all worldwide gaming regulatory agencies, including state testing facilities and independent test laboratories.

“With our rapid growth and innovation-first strategy, GameCo continues to expand and build out a team of highly-qualified industry veterans to further enhance our products and services,” said Adam Rosenberg, CEO. “We love making games and true innovation requires a strong team. We’re thrilled to have Barry, Michael, and Gabe bring their expertise in making and delivering great games into regulated markets.”

In hiring Iremonger, Low, and Moraga, GameCo is continuing to grow its omnichannel business lines. GameCo recently announced the appointment of Rosenberg as CEO, as well as a round of financing and strategic investment led by prominent gaming technology company Playtech and gaming investor SpringOwl Asset Management. The capital infusion is designed to accelerate GameCo’s mission to provide revolutionary gaming products and experiences while driving new players and demographics to casino entertainment. Alongside the investment, GameCo also announced entering into a long-term distribution agreement with Playtech to bring its iGaming products to hundreds of online casinos and next-generation digital players around the world. Together, these recent developments and new team members create a powerful opportunity for GameCo to create unique games and experiences, as well as drive incremental play across all regulated markets.
