Gold Strike Casino Resort accepting nonprofit grant proposals

(PRESS RELEASE) -- The MGM Resorts Foundation will accept nonprofit grant applications through its online portal through 5 March 2021. Funding will be awarded to local nonprofit agencies/organizations that provide services focused on fighting hunger and alleviating food insecurity, supporting families, education, workforce development and improving the lives of all residents in our communities.

As a result of the contributions made by MGM Resorts International employees, the MGM Resorts Foundation will issue awards to qualifying agencies in Mississippi, Michigan, New Jersey, Southern Nevada and the DC Metropolitan area.

“As we head into 2021, our communities continue to face economic and other challenges generated by the COVID-19 pandemic. We know that sustainable change and positive impact happens one day at a time on the local level through well-established programs and resources and the power of public-private partnerships,” said Jyoti Chopra, Chief People, Inclusion and Sustainability Officer at MGM Resorts International. “Thank you to those who donated to serve and support thousands of families, who will be provided with vital assistance including medical care, mental health counseling, food and shelter.”

Nonprofit agencies may visit online to review eligibility criteria and begin the online grant application process. Nonprofits are required to provide support of a Community Grant Fund focus area and operations must be in existence for a minimum of 36 months to be considered.
