History made this week at the World Series of Poker

(PRESS RELEASE) -- History continues to be made at the 2026 World Series of Poker, as not only did Spain’s Adrian Mateos become the youngest poker player to win six WSOP bracelets, but one of poker’s most recognizable couples won WSOP bracelets in separate events. Event #39: $5,000 Seniors High Roller No-Limit Hold’em
Winner: Juan Rodriguez (Peru)

Prize: $673,011

Key Storyline: Supported by a boisterous rail, Peru’s Juan Rodriguez outlasted a total of 844 entrants to take down the Seniors High Roller and win $673,011 plus his first bracelet.

Event #40: $1,500 Razz
Winner: Sebastian Pauli (Germany)

Prize: $135,564

Key Storyline: A seasoned poker tournament veteran, after years of battling in WSOP events, Germany’s Sebastian Pauli finally claims his first career bracelet.

Event #41: $250,000 Super High Roller No-Limit Hold’em
Winner: Adrian Mateos (Spain)

Prize: $4,334,411

Key Storyline: Continuing to make poker history at just 31 years old, Spain’s #1 all-time money leader Adrian Mateos became the youngest poker player to win six WSOP bracelets in impressive fashion, winning the highest buy-in event at the 2026 WSOP.

Event #42: $10,000 Big O Championship
Winner: Daniel Aharoni (Forest Hills, NY, USA)

Prize: $861,287

Key Storyline: A cash game player hailing from the Empire State, Daniel Aharoni took a break from the cash game grind to nab himself a WSOP bracelet.

Event #43: $800 8-Handed Deepstack No-Limit Hold’em
Winner: Matthew Moss (United Kingdom)

Prize: $318,556

Key Storyline: One of the many first-time bracelet winners at the 2026 WSOP, Matthew Moss outlasted 3,903 total entrants to secure his first WSOP bracelet.

Event #44: $10,000 Super Turbo Bounty No-Limit Hold’em
Winner: Alex Foxen (Las Vegas, NV, USA)

Prize: $594,246

Key Storyline: Pulling off a stunning feat few couples have achieved, following his victory in the Super Turbo Bounty, Alex Foxen and his wife Kristen successfully become one of the very few married couples to win WSOP bracelets in the same series.

Event #45: $2,500 Mixed Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better; Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better
Winner: Eddie Blumenthal (Verona, WI, USA)

Prize: $248,545

Key Storyline: After some close calls, Blumenthal finally gets his time at the top of the podium and receives a shiny new WSOP bracelet for his efforts.

II. UPCOMING SCHEDULE & KEY EVENTS

June 18, 2026: Event #54 - $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. Championship
Significance: A tournament that encapsulates the game of poker, the $10,000 H.O.R.S.E Championship offers variety and a chance to see some of the best poker players compete.

June 20, 2026: Event #57 - $1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha
Significance: A popular game with a favorable buy-in, expect a good turnout for the $1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha bracelet event.

Media Note: Anticipating a large field, Event #57 serves as another great opportunity to snap some crowd shots.

June 21, 2026: Event #59 - $500 Salute to Warriors
Significance: A cherished annual event at the WSOP, we honor our United States veterans with the $500 Salute to Warriors tournament.
