Las Vegas Convention Center hosted more over 50 events in 2021

13 January 2022

(PRESS RELEASE) -- The Las Vegas Convention Center successfully hosted 52 trade shows and events in 2021, welcoming more than 700,000 attendees back to Las Vegas.

The LVCC brought five new shows to the destination for the first time in 2021 including ICSC, Working Ranch Expo and The ARA Show while also seeing the return of many familiar events, including:

- World of Concrete
- MAGIC Marketplace
- MINEXPO
- National Hardware Show
- The SEMA Show

"We were excited to welcome our convention customers back to Las Vegas and to lead the recovery of the meetings and convention industry in 2021," said John Schreiber, vice president of business sales for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. "It’s clear that organizers, exhibitors and attendees are ready to get back to in-person events and as we move into the new year and beyond, we look forward to delivering the only in Vegas experience our visitors have come to expect."

The DEMA Show returned to the LVCC 16-19 November. Show organizers said exhibitors were delighted by the quality of the attendees and pace of business, and most have already re-contracted for DEMA Show 2022.

"We are so happy to be back face-to-face, but more importantly, our exhibitors and attendees were extremely happy that DEMA took the steps to safely stage the show,” said Tom Ingram, DEMA President & CEO. “Everyone had a great show, enjoyed seeing each other in-person again, conducting business, attending professional development sessions, and once again building important personal relationships."

The LVCC has a robust schedule of events and shows going into 2022 and is expected to host nearly 20 events from January through March, including:

- CES – 5-7 January 2022
- World of Concrete – 18-20 January 2022
- AHR Expo – 31 January – 2 February 2022
- MAGIC Marketplace – 14-17 February 2022
- ASD Market Week – 27 February – 2 March 2022

Additionally, several citywide conventions and special events will return to venues throughout Las Vegas in 2022, including Sin City Classic at the Flamingo 13-16 January, SHOT Show at The Venetian Expo 18-21 January and Las Vegas Market – Winter at The Expo at World Market Center Las Vegas 23-27 January.

In June 2021, the LVCC’s $1 billion, 1.4 million-square-foot West Hall expansion debuted with doors opening to Informa Markets’ World of Concrete, the first major convention to return to Las Vegas and to the U.S. post-pandemic. The Las Vegas Convention Center Loop, the underground tunnel developed by Elon Musk’s The Boring Company designed to shuttle convention attendees throughout the 200-acre campus in all-electric Tesla vehicles, also became fully operational.

Las Vegas is open and successfully welcoming business and leisure travelers without restrictions involving capacity limits or large gatherings. The destination and the LVCC are prioritizing the health and safety of all visitors by following current state and local guidelines, and implementing additional precautions as requested by individual shows and events.
