Leng takes home WSOP Online $1,000 NLH Freezeout bracelet

14 July 2021

The 2021 World Series of Poker Online continued Tuesday with Event #13: $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Freezout, which saw 561 players create a $504.900 prize pool. After 10 hours of play, Ryan "Adopt_aDogg0" Leng emerged victorious to win the tournament for $108,654 and his second career gold bracelet.

Leng, who was playing while at the bar at Red Rock Casino celebrating his wife's birthday, won his first bracelet back in the 2018 WSOP when he took down Event #51: $1,500 NLH Bounty for $272,765. His latest victory came over a tough final table that included three other gold bracelet winners.

Leng is also a four-time WSOP Circuit gold ring winner, two of which have come on WSOP.com. All told, Leng has won more than $1.5 million playing live tournament poker. It was a bit of redemption for Leng, who came agonizingly close to winning an online bracelet last year.

The top 90 finishers made the money including Kathy "Luckygal" Liebert (11th - $5,554), Alexander "ShadowFiend1" Condon (21st - $2,979), Daniel "pepperprince" Zack (29th - $2,474), Michael "THEGRINDER44" Mizrachi (54th - $1,868), Vinny "brownmagic" Pahuja (68th - $1,565), and Alex "rip_neiko" Rocha (85th - $1,414).

Final Table Action

The final table kicked off with fireworks as five players hit the rail in a 15-minute period. Two-time WSOP Circuit ring winner Jonas "puffin_nails" Wexler was the first to go running ace-queen into Raman "Acrogum" Afanasenka's ace-king, and then Dan "Albacazapada" Stavila saw his stack chopped up after losing with ace-eight to two players who had Big Slick.

Denis "ojlimpson" Gnidash then lost a flip with pocket tens to the ace-king of Afanasenka before bracelet winner Yueqi "anoob" Zhu got his short stack all in on the flop with bottom pair only to see Leng roll over top pair. Zhu, who final tabled the final table of the 2018 WSOP Main Event, failed to improve and had to settle for sixth place.

Leng then used pocket queens to eliminate Krishna "ninjago" Kalidas, who got it in preflop with ace-jack, before bracelet winner Ankush "Rickrosstheb" Mandavia went broke with king-queen against the ace-queen of Leng.

The chip lead changed hands multiple times during three-handed play, which is when Leng double with ace-jack against Afanasenka, who had king-queen suited. Afanasenka, who won an online bracelet during last summer's 2020 WSOP series, went bust a short time later and Leng took a small chip lead into heads-up play against Carmine "Shem22" Ciccone.

Before too long, both players flopped top pair of kings and Leng, who had the better kicker, improved to two pair on the turn. The chips went in and just like that Ciccone was eliminated in second place for $67,303.

Final Table Results
1 Ryan "Adopt_aDogg0" Leng $108,654
