LVCVA launching COVID-19 testing center on Las Vegas Strip

(PRESS RELEASE) -- The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority has partnered with University Medical Center of Southern Nevada to provide a COVID-19 testing center, conveniently located on the Las Vegas Strip, steps from the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The testing center opened in January and is located at Las Vegas Boulevard and Elvis Presley Boulevard, at the site that was formerly the Riviera Hotel. With test results expected within 16 to 24 hours, its centralized location offers convenient access to international visitors who require testing prior to leaving the destination. It also allows tradeshow operators to offer onsite testing for attendees.

Testing is offered on an appointment and walk-in basis. Visitors can schedule appointments online at www.umcsn.com/convention.

UMC was selected as the testing operator following an RFP process. Construction of and equipment for the center was funded by the LVCVA. The center is open on weekdays, with limited hours on Sundays and additional availability based on the LVCC tradeshow schedule. The price is $130.00 per test, which includes customized travel documentation.

The LVCC last year partnered with UMC to serve as a COVID-19 testing site for the local community. The facility also served as a mass vaccination site, with more than 200,000 doses of the vaccine administered throughout the year.
