Several '70s soul music legends, including The Stylistics, Harold Melvin’s Blue Notes, Heatwave and Eddie Holman, will each bring their timeless hits to The Club for '70s Soul Jam. This memorable evening will be hosted by actor and comedian Jimmie “JJ” Walker.
The StylisticsIn the early 1970s, Philadelphia soul group The Stylistics released 12 consecutive Top Ten singles, including “You Are Everything,” “Betcha By Golly Wow,” “I’m Stone in Love with You” and “You Make Me Feel Brand New.” With hits like “Break Up to Make Up,” the band went on to become one of the most successful soul groups of the early ‘70s.
Harold Melvin’s Blue NotesBest known for their hits “If You Don’t Know Me by Now” and “The Love I Lost,” Harold Melvin’s Blue Notes have been bringing Philadelphia soul to the music world since 1954. With hits like “Wake Up Everybody (Part 1),” “Bad Luck (Part 1)” and “Satisfaction Guaranteed (Or Take Your Love Back),” the group has won over countless fans performing their soul, R&B, doo-wop and disco songs. In 1986, the group was one of the three original featured bands on the ‘70s Soul Jam Tour.
Harold Melvin’s Blue Notes have released nine albums, as well as nine compilation albums to date. The group has also released the No. 1 R&B hit “Hope That We Can Be Together Soon,” the No. 15 Billboard pop song “Bad Luck” and three Top 40 R&B singles from their album “Where Are All My Friends.” Although the late Harold Melvin passed away in 1997, the group continues to keep his memory alive performing their greatest hits from coast to coast.
HeatwaveFormed in 1975, international funk and disco band Heatwave won over fans with their groovy hits and smooth dance moves. Audiences will enjoy performances of the multi-platinum selling group’s top hits, including “Boogie Nights,” “The Groove Line” and “Always and Forever.”
Eddie HolmanEddie Holman began his musical career in the early 1960s, winning over fans with his smooth, falsetto vocals and soulful hits. Throughout his career, Holman has released several top singles, including his No. 2 hit “Hey There Lonely Girl,” and the songs “Don’t Stop Now/Since I Don’t Have You,” “This Can’t Be True” and “This Will Be a Night to Remember.” Holman continues to perform his classic R&B hits around the U.S. and the world.

Acclaimed tribute band Corazón De Maná is comprised of five Maná fans, delivering the ultimate Maná live experience as they recreate the sound, style and music of the Grammy Award-winning, Mexican rock band Maná.
The tribute band will perform some of Maná’s best-loved hits, including “Si No Te Hubieras Ido,” “El Verdadero Amor Perdona,” “Bendita Tu Luz,” “Labios Compartidos,” “Lluvia Al Corazon” and “Mariposa Traicionera.”

Best known as one of the top rock bands in the Philippines, Kamikazee will bring their Tagpuan Tour to The Club at Cannery. Kamikazee will impress fans with their high-energy performances and top hits, including “Narda” and “Halik.”
The band’s current lineup includes Jay Contreras (vocals), Jomal Linao and Led Tuyay on (lead and rhythm guitar), Puto Astete (bass) and Bords Burdeos (drums).

You & I will pay tribute to classic R&B, soul and funk artists Rick James, Mary Jane Girls and Teena Marie. Bringing their excellent renditions for each icon’s signature style, sound and moves, the tribute group will perform hits like Rick James’ “You and I,” “Super Freak,” “17” and
“Give it to Me Baby.”
Audiences will also enjoy performances of the Mary Jane Girls’ hits, including “In My House,” “Walk Like a Man” and “Wild Crazy Love,” as well as Teena Marie’s top hits “Lover Girl,” “I Need Your Lovin’” and “Square Biz.”
Some members of the tribute band have played, written and produced music with Rick James, The Stone City Band, Edda James and Jeffrey Osborne.

The WhispersFormed in 1963 in Los Angeles, Calif., The Whispers rose to fame with their heartfelt classics and celebrated R&B ballads. Throughout their career, the group has released a string of hit singles, including “Rock Steady,” “And the Beat Goes On,” “It’s A Love Thing,” “Lady,” “Seems Like I Gotta Do Wrong,” “Innocent,” “Tonight” and “One for the Money.”
The Whispers have enjoyed major success with seven Gold albums, two Platinum albums, 12 Top 20 singles and 40 top-charting hits since 1970. In 2003, The Whispers were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame, and won the Rhythm and Blues Foundation's Pioneer Award in 2008. The group was later inducted into The Soul Music Hall of Fame in 2012 and The Official R&B Music Hall of Fame in 2014.
A Taste of HoneyDisco group A Taste of Honey formed by Janice-Marie Johnson rose to fame in 1978 with the release of their first recording “Boogie Oogie Oogie,” which hit No. 1 on the International Pop, Disco and R&B charts. The hit single, along with their self-titled album, became certified double platinum in the U.S. and went gold in the U.K. and Japan. The group also released several top hits, including “Sukiyaki,” “I’ll Try Something New” and “Do it Good.”
Throughout the group’s career, A Taste of Honey has received numerous accolades, including a Grammy Award for Best New Artist of the Year and a Grammy Award nomination for Best Vocal Performance By Group or Duo.
