Wynn Las Vegas names Director of Race & Sports Book Operations

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Wynn Las Vegas has appointed Doug Castaneda as the Director of Race & Sports Book Operations. Bringing an extensive gaming background to the position, Castaneda will oversee the daily operations of both Wynn and Encore's race and sportsbooks.

A 23-year veteran in the industry, Castaneda began his career at Stardust Resort and Casino and Boyd Gaming in 1995. He took on various roles in the sports book, rising through the ranks and eventually earning a management position.

After leaving the Stardust in 2005, Castaneda joined Wynn Las Vegas as a shift manager and was a critical member of the opening team. Previously working under the leadership of Johnny Avello, former Director of Race & Sports Book Operations at Wynn Las Vegas, he has become a seasoned professional and has played an integral role in the success of the race and sports books at Wynn.
