The company said Wednesday its net income for the quarter that ended June 30 was $7.6 million, or earnings of 25 cents per share.

An IGT spokesman declined to comment on the report from Reuters, which said the company hired investment bank Morgan Stanley to field sales offers.

The transaction was announced as part of Multimedia Games’ second quarter earnings, in which the manufacturer said it grew both profits and revenue in the quarter that ended March 31.
