Las Vegas was started with New Orleans musicians performing entertainment.. Few musicians have the energy and repertoire that the DUKES have, performing alone; with other artists like Luther Kent of B S & T, and orchestra's like the Boston Pops, and still performing 300 nights a year at their home base in New Orleans.

Now in their fifth consecutive decade, the DUKES are the oldest performing New Orleans Jazz band, working 300 nights a year, but not a ghost band, but instead a working repertory band of young energized players keeping the forward momentum fresh and cooking. The band is in name only, as their music can run the gamut from Satchmo and Longhair, to Ellington, Dr John and Jerry Lee Lewis, all informed by New Orleans Culture & tradition,
