Industrial Modern Pattern & Mold, located in the Chicago area is a privately owned and operated company that has been servicing the prototype mold industry for over 40 years. We are a fully independent domestic source of plastic prototypes utilizing leading edge technology. Our company works with engineers, industrial designers, and OEM companies supplying plastic prototype parts. We are able to build these parts from a 3D CAD file supplied by the customer. We currently utilize a ProJet 6000 SLA machine (the most accurate SLA technology available to the prototyping industry today) using the NEW VisiJet Clear material. The SLA prototype part is used for silicone rubber tooling to produce cast urethane parts. IMPM has perfected techniques for optimizing the performance of silicone rubber molds to extend mold life, increase part accuracy and enhance surface finish. We guarantee 100 shots with our silicone molds, which is the highest in the industry. Many OEM companies also benefit from our policy of absorbing the cost of tooling on additional orders of 100 parts after the first tool. IMPM stocks over 140 different materials and can produce urethane castings in any durometer and color. We offer a color match service. Simply provide us with a pantone color and we can either cast parts in color or paint to meet your needs. We can also add any texture either to the pattern to be molded in or as a secondary operation during the painting process. Often times, products are expected to have short product lives due to rapidly changing technology. Short-run production allows you to create your part for quick time-to-market without the huge up front costs!
