Mohegan Sun chooses MICROS system

COLUMBIA, Maryland –- (PRESS RELEASE) -- MICROS Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: MCRS), a leading provider of information technology solutions for the hospitality and retail industries, is pleased to announce that Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs has selected MICROS 9700 HMS and the Self-Service Kiosk Solution for its new casino in Wilkes-Barre, PA. The first phase of the project consisting of 41 MICROS workstations, 25 Mobile MICROS handheld terminals, and 6 self-service kiosks is currently in progress at the casino's grand opening on November 14, 2006.

Mohegan Sun, a long-time user of MICROS products, is making history as the first casino to open in Pennsylvania. By implementing MICROS 9700 HMS, Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs is able to expand on its current infrastructure and scale the MICROS system to its full capacity. Mobile MICROS wireless solutions will provide flexible and reliable handheld operations, making them the best choice for a 24-hour, high volume casino environment. In addition, the easy to use self-service kiosks are designed to improve speed-of-service, increase customer through-put at a lower labor cost, and promote up-selling opportunities.
